Keith and I had a weekend getaway, we haven't had a weekend alone in about 3 years......no, that's a lie probably in 4 years since our honeymoon!!! Now that's sad.......anyway, it was wonderful. We drove to Asheville, NC to the Biltmore. This place is HUGE.....

see those mountains behind me on the left??? Well, this family's estate owns 1 mile past those mountains, something like 8,000 acres.

The house took 6 years to build, has 250 rooms, 54 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms, 4 kitchens, indoor pool and the list goes on and on.......They also have a winery......

No pictures allowed of the inside of the house but here are some of the wine cellar and production area where they make the wine.......

Our evening ended at home with a yummy cake for daddy!!!

Family day in Chattanooga.

First stop was the aquarium, Tyler thought the stingray were cool but not cool enough to touch.

The penguins were out today, the last time we were here was with Alyssa and Natalie and the penguins had been relocated to clean their "home".

Tyler and Shawn loved the fish and Shawn said "fish" clearly, for the 1st time.


Kate was not too happy about this place but you'll see she soon became a fan.

Yep, Kate and Shawn are on their "leashes". An awesome invention,

they were able to explore and be safe.

Actually, this is the 1st time I have cut anyone's hair and it came out pretty good, if I do say so myself. I know you're probably asking yourself "why is she cutting it in the bathtub" who knows. Next time we will graduate to a chair, yeah that's right, there will be a next time. Practice makes perfect and Shawn's hair is easy to cut. Tyler's hair.....not so easy. I'll leave that to the professionals. (Amy, this one's for you, have you stopped laughing yet?)

In the morning we went to Bounce U with our friends Heather, Rylee, and Reagan. Everyone had a great time, even the moms! Later, when daddy got home, we went to Red Robin (Tyler's favorite) with Nana and Pa and ended the evening with presents. The big present from us was the bike and Tyler couldn't believe his eyes when he saw it. He hopped on and took it for a spin around the house (inside of course because it is like 10 degrees outside).
