I see a lot of bumps and bruises coming our way

Poor Kate, you probably can't see it that well in the pics but she has 3 scrapes over and around her eye. I told Tyler not to move the gate in the playroom and that was about as efficient as talking to the wall......hence Kate's eye. She has a long road ahead of her with those two brothers!

Tyler, in the "zone"

1 year check-up

Kate weighed in at 20lbs and 29 1/4 inches.

Shawn weighed in at 22 1/2lbs and 30 3/4 inches.

Both required 4 shots each, yeah, that's a total of 8 shots. Kate screamed and Shawn was fairly calm. I think Kate will be our sensitive/shy child and Shawn is DEFINATELY a flirt. He is so funny to watch when he's flirting with the ladies.

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY, KATE & SHAWN!!!!!!!!!

I made it!!!!! Oh, I mean "they made it"... I cannot believe Kate and Shawn are 1. It was a perfect day, busy but perfect!!!!
Shawn likes his "big boy" toys. (so does Tyler)

These two can't sit still long enough for a picture.

This is a new skill Kate learned. This is how Keith found her while playing.

Shawn enjoyed his cake (see video down further) Kate was not sure and ate it like a lady.

I thought this was a great picture of Kate. She's not a very good mommy taking her baby's bottle!!

Just one of the funny moments with their cake. Shawn was definately "in to it" and Kate was definately NOT!!! She kind of picked at it or around it.

I THINK I MIGHT BE A BELIEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was day #2 in Potty Bootcamp and if you would have told me 2 days ago that Tyler would be potty trained, I would have laughed in your face. Tyler was the boy who wanted absolutely nothing to do with the potty, if you asked him if he wanted to sit on the potty, he would say NO, firmly.
So, as of the end of the day today he WILLINGLY goes to the potty, had only 1 accident, was in the bath (of all places) and told Keith he had to go poopy!!!! (but really he meant pee because that's what he did) Of course Keith and I made a huge deal and told him what a great job that was by telling us. I am very proud of Tyler. I am amazed that in 2 days he is practically potty trained, 1 down 2 to go!!!! I'll have Kate and Shawn done by 2...........hopefully. Oh yeah, not sure if this confirms that we are officially "rednecks" but when out at the swingset this afternoon, it had been about 45 minutes, and we told Tyler to pull his underwear down to go pee. He thought that was pretty funny that he could pee on the grass!!! Anyway................

Thank you to those that have called with words of encouragement for Tyler (and me!!) he thought he was the big man on campus when someone called to congratulate him and also to Nana and Pa for the bribe of M & M's and the COOL underwear. I'll keep you updated....

This was a reward from us. What an awesome deal at the consignment store, I love that place!!

THE POTTY BOOT CAMP

The Potty Boot Camp:
Works on children aged 18 months and olderHas your child out of diapers overnight. Completes 90% of training in just a couple of days.

If you're a non-believer like me, you say to yourself "yeah right"!!! Well, my wonderful friend, Amy, (thanks a lot) told me about this lady and said check it out. So, I did. I ordered her ebook (only $5.95) I read it in about 15 minutes and started my "boot camp" today. This is a big challenge for me and requires a lot of dedication on my part, which is not that easy being that there are 2 other small children that rely on me, too. But I will do the best I can. If the house doesn't get cleaned, the laundry doesn't get washed and the dishes are not cleaned who cares if it actually works.

So, Tyler did very well. He had only one accident and the rest of the time he "went" on the potty. I will start again tomorrow and Sunday, Keith is off this weekend and that will free up my time to focus on Tyler. Keep your fingers crossed.........

A new view

Everyone is facing forward......woo hoo. Tyler is probably the most excited because he no longer has to crawl under the carseats to get to his. There is a lot more room, he can just hop up and walk to his seat now. And the first car trip Kate and Shawn both had there heads tilted to the side so they could see out the front windshield.

OREO's mmmmm!!

Shawn really enjoys his desert, today was 1/2 an oreo.

Traffic jam

Yes, everyone, including Tyler, has a walker. It definately keeps them busy and happy EXCEPT when they crash into each other and both of them decide they are not moving out of the way. Then its a screaming fest until someone is run over, pushed out of the way or gives up!!

SO DARN CUTE!!!!!!!!

Kate and Shawn's 1 year pics......Wow, if you think its hard to get one baby to sit still for a pic (actually, quite a few pics) try getting two to sit still AND smile!! Oh boy, the things you will do to get your babies to smile and all you moms out there know what I'm talking about!! My mom and I worked up a sweat...They were great and so was the photographer. She asked when we got there if I had a change of clothes for them???? Ahh, did she not see I had 2 babies, NO I would not be changing their outfits.....take the pics and lets get the heck outa here!! :) I couldn't wait until their birthday to share, I hope you enjoy them.

Day out with Thomas the Train!!!

I'm sure it looks like Tyler didn't enjoy himself by the first 2 pics, but he REALLY did.
We rode a little train (like a tram), rode the big train, which Thomas was driving, Tyler
received a Jr. Engineer Certificate, played with train tables, saw Thomas, and even got a TATOO, like father like son!!!
